10 Great Changes for 2010-2011
FREE - 2011 Recital DVDs of ALL Recitals!
In our continuing effort to offer you, our Rising Stars family, the best possible "dance and so much more" experience, we are delighted to inform you that we will be giving each and every Rising Stars family (purchasing a minimum of 2 recital tickets @ $23 per ticket for the 2011 recital), a priceless memory:
your very own FREE DVD of EVERY recital!!
That’s right .... A collection of DVDs of EACH 2011 recital!!
For those of you needing only one recital to see all your child’s recital routines that means you will save at least $55 (based on current DVD prices) – which is also equal to about one free month's tuition (for a regular class up to 1 hour per week) at current rates! For those of you needing more than one recital DVD to see all of your child’s recital routines, then you will save even more ($55 - $220), depending upon how many DVDs you would have purchased!!!!
No matter what recital your child performs in, your family will receive a COMPLETE collection of all of our recitals to enjoy!
2010 Summer Camps and Classes at 2009 Prices!!!
Considering the current economic climate, you will also be happy to know that we have been able to keep tuition for 2010 summer camps and classes at 2009 prices - NO INCREASE!
NEVER a Registration Fee means BIG Savings!
As always, at Rising Stars, there is NEVER A REGISTRATION FEE!
How does that translate into MONTHLY savings?
Take, for example, a $15/$25/$30 registration fee. Divide the registration fee by 10 payments (which is how tuition is paid) Add that amount, $1.50/$2.50/$3.00, to the monthly tuition. In doing that, a $57 per month tuition really becomes a $58.50/$59.50/$60 monthly tuition rate!
We are very proud to say that at Rising Stars .... there are no hidden charges!!
New Snow/Emergency School Closing Policy!
It’s important to you and to us that your child(ren) receive the proper amount of dance instruction each and every year. So for the 2010-2011 year we have modified our Snow/Emergency School Closing Policy with you, our valued customer, in mind!
Normally our dance school year runs between 30-32 classes per day/per year. Beginning with the 2010- 2011 school year, we have 33 and 34 classes per day/per year due to the way the holidays fall. For the days that have 34 classes/year (Tue, Wed/Thurs-before 3 PM classes, Sat), we have built in 1 snow/emergency closing day .... all the other classes will make up any snow days or emergency closing days (probably during a weekend when studio space is available).
Please see the attached chart which lists all the days we are open and closed in detail.
New website launches
We've been busy working in the background of our new site and happy to say it's "live".
We''ll be putting pictures and video on it soon so stay tuned.
Congrats To Our Directors

Congratulations to Joelle Iuliano and Jody Myslinski for being chosen as this year’s honorees at the 3rd. Annual Mayor’s Charity Ball which was held on November 14, 2009. They earned this honor for their dedication to youth development and consistent charitable work, as well as their outstanding community leadership and being role models for our area youth. Both are award- winning dancers with years of experience in the industry.
The studio, in its 23rd year, is often involved in community events by donating time, performances, and raising money for charities including Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (for children with cancer), the American Diabetes Jody & Joelle – enjoying some of the rich fruits of their labor of love! Association and Breast Cancer Foundations as well as the American Heart Association. Joelle and Jody have touched the lives of many people throughout the com- munity. A great big heart- felt THANK YOU for their never-ending hard work and love.
Rosie's Broadway Kids, NYC Gala, September 20, 2010
What a difference a shoe makes!
Rosie’s Broadway Kids, (RBK), extended their thanks for our generous donations of dance shoes and tights with an invitation to Rosie’s Building Dreams for Kids Gala on September 20, 2010 at the Marriot Marquis, NYC. The honored guests and contributors included Neil Friedman, President, Mattel Brands; Michael Goldstein, former Chairman of the Board of Toys “R” Us, Inc. plus Elvis Duran, Tyne Daly, Chef Cat Cora, Robin Quivers, Suze Ormon, and others. Everyone was treated to the comedy of Rosie O’Donnell, and entertained by the RBK students who performed a tribute to Cyndi Lauper. (Many of the students were wearing dance shoes from us!) Cyndi Lauper also performed for the cheering audience of about 500 business and entertainment industry guests who helped to raise over $240,000+ in donations that evening.
Joan Pauley and JoAnn Massa (Girl Scout leader and parents of the Senor Girl Scouts responsible for the Pairs for Performers project), along with Jody Myslinski, were greeted by the RBK staff with warmth and appreciation for our studio and community contributions.
Let’s keep up the momentum with the continued contributions of your gently used dance shoes so that we may continue to make the dream of dance a reality to those who may never have such an opportunity.
