The Pulse On Tour

Ten Rising Stars students and, their parents, braved an Atlantic City blizzard to join hundreds of other students from NJ, NY, PA and even VA to learn new moves from the leaders in the dance world.

Such household names as Mia Michaels, Tyce Diorio, Wade Robson, Brian Friedman, (So You Think You Can Dance); Dave Scott (Step Up 3D); Chris Judd (dancer, choreographer, musician, songwriter, actor) and more, taught our students their award winning moves in Contemporary, Jazz and Hip Hop.

Our students learned the technique of contemporary dance from Emmy winner, choreographer and dancer Mia Michaels. She has worked with Madonna, Prince, Ricky Martin, Gloria Estefan, etc.; and now she can add Rising Stars to the list! In an interview about her work with the young dancers, Mia Michaels explained. "I nurture them," she said. "I'm Mamma Mia and they look to me for that tough love. ... They know I only want them to be brilliant." 

Emmy award winner, Tyce Diorio, is a triple threat in the entertainment industry. He continues to dance with and choreograph for today's hottest stars, while also appearing on Broadway, television, and is now recording his own music. Our students not only learned moves in his unique jazz style, but were able to connect with Tyce through out the weekend, as he continually gave them advice and reminded all students to bring their passion to their dance.

To top off the event, one of our own talented dancers, Alexis Francis, was one of the winners of a Pulse Leadership Award!

We are looking forward to organizing and attending more conventions in the future!
